ABOUT PRODUCTID 15846
This set of two vases and a bowl, manufactured by Ditmar Urbach in the 1970s, epitomizes Czech mid-century modern ceramic craftsmanship. Each piece is executed in glazed ceramic with a saturated, deep cool blue dominating the visual impression, lending consistency and a pronounced color accent. The composition of forms marries bold geometry with softened lines: the vases feature a distinct diamond silhouette with a slender base and narrow neck, finished with gently flared rims, while the bowl presents a wide, squat profile with softly rounded corners that echo the vases’ geometric ethos. A central ochre yellow circle, adorned with a spiral motif, serves as the defining decorative accent on all pieces. The interior of each vase's neck displays an olive green gradient, revealed through the glossy surface of the glaze. The finely crafted details are seamlessly integrated; there are no visible joining lines, and the entire set exemplifies the care typical of 1970s Czechoslovakian workshops. The set remains in excellent condition, with only minimal indications of age discernible as nuanced variations in the glaze. These objects evoke the spirit of the 1970s, a time
