ABOUT PRODUCTID 16558
This set of six vintage white wine goblets from the 1960s, produced by the respected German manufacturer Nachtmann, exemplifies the refined heritage and technical mastery of European crystal design. Each glass is crafted from cased, hand-cut lead crystal, featuring vibrant bowls with alternating hues: deep raspberry pink, fresh lime green, and rich amethyst. The colored overlays are adorned with meticulously cut thistle and leaf motifs that encircle the entire bowl, while the tall, slender stems are clear and enhanced by an optical spiral texture, lending both visual complexity and a secure grip. Broad, flat bases made of transparent faceted crystal amplify the glass’s brilliance. Each goblet measures 19 cm in height and is preserved in pristine, collector-grade condition, free from chips, cracks, or signs of wear.
These goblets channel the spirit of postwar European elegance: their form and decorative motifs evoke the aspirations and everyday poise of mid-century gatherings. Light refracts through the multifaceted cuts and colored overlays, casting vibrant plays of color across the table, while the botanical engravings echo a stylized connection to nature that defined the optimism of the 1960s. Rather than seeking opulence for its own sake, these glasses were conceived to subtly elevate the occasion, turning the ritual of serving wine into a moment of quiet sophistication and conviviality.
The set would complement both traditional dining rooms and contemporary
