This shell chair, designed by Miroslav Navrátil and produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s, is distinguished by its molded, organically shaped seat and slender oak legs. The original velvet upholstery features a multicolored floral and foliage pattern, dominated by golden yellow, muted olive green, and deep rust red. The smooth, light oak legs have a satin finish, tapering and splaying outward in classic mid-century modern style, with visible, well-crafted joinery attaching them to the shell.
