This Austrian side chair from the early 20th century epitomizes Art Nouveau craftsmanship, deftly blending natural materials and the refined sensibility of its era. The frame, masterfully bent from bamboo in a light brown, semi-matte finish, embraces organic inspiration emblematic of the period. Brass collars are set at all major structural intersections, providing both decorative and practical support with their subtle golden sheen. The seat and tall backrest are upholstered in an intricate jacquard fabric featuring a floral motif in burgundy, olive green, and beige on a cream background – a faithful nod to nature-inspired Art Nouveau aesthetics. Armrests curve fluidly from the backrest, while a crossed brace construction adds both stability and movement.
