ABOUT PRODUCTID 9925
This Danish side table from the 1970s is crafted from teak wood and has undergone a complete restoration. The construction showcases clean, geometric lines typical of mid-century modern design, with gently tapered legs, rounded corners, and harmonious proportions (height 60 cm, width 69 cm, depth 44 cm). A wide, minimalist drawer without handles is set at the top, while below there is an open shelf with subtly raised edges. The surface is finished with a semi-matte lacquer, applied after staining the wood with an oak-toned dye; the visible grain and warm, medium-brown shade with a reddish undertone highlight the natural texture of the teak. The table is solidly built, featuring visible joinery at the corners and smoothly finished edges. It is preserved in restored condition—there are no visible traces of use, damage, or patina. This piece reflects the spirit of Scandinavian design in the 1970s: practicality meets a refined lightness of form. The teak, with its understated sheen and pronounced grain, tells the story of an era when craftsmanship and simplicity were valued in everyday objects. The handle-free drawer and open shelf seem to say, “here, function requires no excess—everything remains in balance.” The design of this period does not impose itself but invites daily use, respecting both material and form. The table could be paired with a low wooden-legged sofa or a classic armchair from the same era, creating a cohesive arrangement in a living room inspired by mid-century modern or Scandinavian interiors. It would work well as a console beneath a mirror, accompanied by ceramic vases and a lamp with a fabric shade, or as a side table in a minimalist bedroom. It is worth combining with light textiles
