ABOUT PRODUCTID 34014
The VARIETT mobile side table, originating from Denmark and dating to the late 1960s and 1970s, is a clear representative of Scandinavian modernism. Its rectangular top features rounded corners and is finished in a warm, medium brown wood tone with a subtle satin sheen, set against a matte gray metal frame. The light honey-colored solid wood legs connect to a metal base, one side of which is fitted with a small black caster for smooth mobility. Two black plastic adjustment knobs on the frame, once intended for height or angle changes, are now purely decorative—this table is solid, fixed, and does not fold or adjust. The visible screws and metal joints highlight the utilitarian, industrial character of the design. The table is in very good condition, showing only minor signs of use such as small scratches typical for the 1970s. This table speaks with the voice of Scandinavian design from the 1960s and 1970s: simplicity of form paired with thoughtful function, and the interplay of wood and metal reflecting an era when design served everyday needs without excess. Its minimalist silhouette and practical proportions echo a history of mobile living—ready for change, prepared for any scenario. The gentle sheen of the wood conjures interiors where quality mattered more than quantity, and every detail found its reason for being. The table could be paired with a low mid-century sofa or placed next to a minimalist armchair, serving as a surface for books, a cup of coffee, or a simple table lamp. It would work well in both light Scandinavian-inspired living rooms and more eclectic, collector's interiors,
