ABOUT PRODUCTID 9468
Designed by Bohumil Landsman and Hubert Nepozitek in the 1960s for Jitona Soběslav, this sideboard exemplifies the Czech interpretation of mid-century modern style. The structure is crafted from beech wood, with the front and top surfaces veneered in walnut displaying a striking, almost chevron-like grain, while the sides are finished in oak veneer. Set on four tapered, outward-angled legs, the piece has a light and balanced silhouette. The double doors conceal two spacious shelves, and the gold-toned aluminum fittings provide a subtle decorative touch. The finish is satin to semi-gloss, with a smooth, slightly reflective top achieved using high-quality Danish oil; the glass panel has been newly replaced to enhance functionality. All edges are softly rounded, and the precise veneer work attests to careful craftsmanship. The sideboard is in restored condition, showing no visible signs of wear—fully refurbished by skilled cabinetmakers. This piece captures the spirit of Central European modernism from
