ABOUT PRODUCTID 257
This teak sideboard, designed by Sven Andersen and produced by Andersen Mobelfabrikk in Norway during the 1960s, exemplifies the classic idiom of Scandinavian modernism. The piece features a warm, medium teak brown with a subtle golden undertone, enhanced by a satin finish that highlights the straight, consistent wood grain. Four slender, tapered legs with brass caps give the form a sense of lightness and elevation. The drawer fronts display an organic, wave-like profile that functions as integrated handles, while the cabinet doors are fitted with discreet, round metal escutcheons and subtle keyholes. The sideboard is organized into four sections: a column of five drawers on the right and three lockable cabinets with shelves on the left. The construction is precise, with minimal ornamentation and harmonious, symmetrical proportions. The surface appears smooth and well-maintained, with no visible signs of wear
