This sideboard, designed by Sven Andersen and produced by Sven Andersen Möbelfabrik Stavanger in Norway during the 1960s, embodies the essence of Scandinavian mid-century modernism. Crafted from teak wood in a warm, golden-brown hue, its grain is prominently displayed beneath a satin finish that offers a subtle sheen without glossiness. The rare, elongated form—measuring 207 cm—features three cabinet doors and six spacious drawers. The drawer fronts are distinguished by sculpted, integrated handles with a gentle, wave-like profile, a hallmark of mid-century Scandinavian design. Discreet brass fittings and slender, tapered legs capped with brass highlight the meticulous attention to proportion and detail. The sideboard has been expertly restored: old finishes were removed, the teak stained and treated with high-quality Danish oil.
