ABOUT PRODUCTID 9810
This sideboard, produced by the Danish manufacturer Westergaard Mobelfabrik in the 1960s, represents a classic example of mid-century modern aesthetics. Crafted from carefully selected teak wood, it displays a warm, medium-brown tone with an expressive, organic wood grain. The satin-matte finish enhances the subtle sheen and depth of the timber’s natural texture. The front features four sliding doors adorned with meticulously sculpted, integrated wooden handles that serve both functional and decorative purposes. Inside, capacious shelves offer ample storage, while the body is supported by solid, gently tapered legs that angle slightly outward, lending the piece a sense of lightness. The proportions are elongated and slender; seamless joinery and the absence of external hardware emphasize the minimalist character and high craftsmanship. Condition: after comprehensive restoration, the surface has been stripped of the old finish and treated with Danish oil—no visible signs of wear are present. The teak sideboard evokes the story of Nordic modernism, where function meets restraint
