Designed by Jiří Jiroutek and produced by Interier Praha in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s, this sideboard embodies the mature, functional spirit of Central European mid-century modernism. The construction is based on a balanced rectangular form, with tall cabinet doors featuring vertical grain on one side and four wide, handleless drawers with a horizontal wood pattern on the other. Splayed, tapered legs give the piece a sense of lightness and capture the dynamic lines typical of modernist design. The walnut veneer, finished in a warm, medium brown with a subtle reddish hue, highlights the natural wood texture, while the satin finish provides a refined sheen without excessive gloss.
