This sideboard by Lothar Wegner from the 1960s is an exemplar of German modernist design, blending Bauhaus influences with mid-century aesthetics. The structure features a walnut-veneered body in a warm, medium brown with a pronounced, even wood grain. The top is finished in black Formica, creating a graphic contrast with the wood. On the left are three drawers with horizontal grooves and precision dovetail joinery; on the right, two sliding doors with minimalist circular finger pulls. Inside, two spacious shelves provide generous storage. The sideboard stands on brushed stainless steel legs with gently curved tubular profiles, accentuating the cabinet’s low, horizontal silhouette and adding a subtle industrial element. Dimensions are 240 cm wide, 48 cm deep, and 65 cm high, giving the piece a balanced, low-slung profile. Condition: professionally restored and in very good state, with no visible repairs or damage.
