ABOUT PRODUCTID 1613
This Danish sideboard, designed by E.W. Bach in the 1960s, is a refined example of Scandinavian mid-century modern. The case is crafted in warm, orange-brown teak veneer with a subtle satin sheen, accentuating the vertical grain pattern on the sliding doors. The sideboard stands on four slender, slightly tapered solid wood legs finished in matte black, creating a striking contrast with the body and lending the piece a sense of visual lightness. Meticulous detailing is evident in the seamless joints and integrated handles along the door edges, in keeping with the minimalist vision of the designer. The interior features three height-adjustable shelves and a versatile bar compartment with a decorative mirror and two spacious drawers. Sliding doors provide convenient access to the storage while saving space in the room. The surface has been refreshed, with minor scratches and veneer touch-ups visible—characteristic of a well-preserved original from the 1960s. This sideboard tells the story of Danish design, where harmony between form and function brings an atmosphere of organized freedom. Its low, elongated silhouette echoes the living spaces of decades past, where simplicity and sophistication went hand in hand. The warmth of teak and the matte black legs conjure images of interiors bathed in soft light, each
