ABOUT PRODUCTID 30682
This sideboard, designed by František Jirák and produced by Tatra Nabytok in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s, is a quintessential example of mid-century modern balance and clarity. The body is clad in a warm, medium walnut veneer with a subtle reddish undertone, contrasted by a lighter, honey-toned wood used for the interior, doors, and shelving. The exterior finish is semi-gloss, lending a gentle sheen to the surfaces, while the interior remains matte. The interior is clean and odor-free, all elements appear original, and the lock is fully functional. This sideboard channels the optimism and clarity of the 1960s—a period where modernity was paired with inviting practicality. The slender legs elevate the whole, inviting one to view it from every angle, while the gentle sheen of the veneer evokes the quiet glow of vintage living rooms. The sculpted handles speak
