ABOUT PRODUCTID 31094
This vintage sideboard from the iconic U-450 series, designed by Jiří Jiroutek for Interier Praha, is among the most recognizable examples of Central European mid-century modern design from the 1960s. The body and splayed, tapered legs are crafted from warm, honey-toned wood with a semi-matte finish, while the drawer fronts alternate between glossy black, pastel pink, and off-white, creating a striking geometric stripe pattern. The sideboard's rectangular shape is defined by clean, minimalist lines and a lack of visible handles, emphasizing its modernist character. The drawers are well-aligned and functional, and the wood grain on the sides and top adds a natural texture. The top surface shows visible signs of age: scratches, discoloration, and water marks, which attest to the piece’s authenticity and history. The sideboard retains its original components and has not been visibly restored. Condition: good, with era-typical signs of use—top requires renovation.
This sideboard captures the spirit of optimism and functionality that defined
