Designed by Bohumil Landsman and Hubert Nepozitek for the Jitona Soběslav factory, this sideboard is a compelling example of Czechoslovakian mid-century modernism from the 1960s. The body is crafted from beech wood, with the front and top surfaces veneered in walnut, displaying distinctive, natural grain patterns, while the sides are finished in lighter oak for a subtle color contrast. The characteristic slightly splayed, rounded legs lighten the silhouette, and the minimalist construction is free of unnecessary ornamentation—only gold-toned aluminum fittings and a central keyhole accent the clean lines. Behind the double doors, two shelves offer organized storage. The quality of craftsmanship is evident in the precise veneer alignment and seamless transitions between materials. The sideboard has undergone a complete restoration and is finished with high-quality Danish oil, with the glass in the doors replaced with new.
