ABOUT PRODUCTID 33907
Designed by Hans J. Wegner for the Danish manufacturer Getama in the 1960s, this sofa is a quintessential example of balanced Scandinavian modernism. The frame is crafted from light-toned wood—likely beech or oak—finished with a satin-matte lacquer that subtly enhances the natural wood grain. The upholstery, a finely woven synthetic fabric in a creamy beige shade, has a gently textured, matte surface that softly contrasts with the warmth of the wood. The sofa’s geometry is defined by a rectangular seat and backrest that flow seamlessly into softly rounded armrests, all supported by straight, slightly recessed legs connected by a horizontal reinforcing stretcher. Visible hardware is kept to a minimum, highlighting the precision typical of Danish craftsmanship from the 1960s. The sofa features a practical fold-out backrest, allowing it to transform into a daybed or sleeping surface. It is preserved in very good condition, with only subtle signs of use appropriate for its age. The listed price applies to one piece. This
