ABOUT PRODUCTID 20199
The C10 sofa, designed by Robert Slezak and crafted in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s, is a quintessential example of Bauhaus-inspired modernism. Its frame is built from polished, chromed tubular steel that seamlessly forms the armrests and legs, emphasizing geometric unity and a sense of visual lightness. The upholstery features a cool, medium gray fabric with a fine black-and-white herringbone pattern, creating a matte, tactile surface with striking graphic structure. Thick, rectangular seat and back cushions are complemented by two wedge-shaped side bolsters, enhancing the sofa’s low, horizontal proportions. A signature detail is the integrated side cabinet—set into the right armrest, crafted from medium-brown wood with a satin finish and visible grain, offering both an open shelf and a closed compartment. The construction is precise, with visible metal fasteners along the wooden base and expertly joined corners. The sofa is in excellent, fully restored condition: the upholstery, chromed steel, and wood elements appear fresh, with a gentle, period-appropriate patina and no visible signs of use.The C10
