Designed by Werner Langenfeld for Esa in the 1970s, this sofa exemplifies Danish mid-century modern design focused on clarity of form and everyday comfort. The structure is supported by two polished, T-profile metal legs that anchor the low-slung, expansive silhouette. The entire piece is upholstered in original, deep, almost black-brown natural leather with a matte finish, covering the seat, back, and armrests. The seat and back are divided into three softly contoured, generously padded sections with visible tufting and a gentle patina—subtle creases and light wear confirming the authenticity of vintage leather. Slightly flared armrests and a reclined backrest lend the piece fluidity and ergonomic functionality. The sofa remains in very good vintage condition with its original upholstery, showing only age-appropriate creasing and minor scuffs typical for its era.
