The GE-290 sofa is a Danish design by Hans J. Wegner from the 1960s, produced by Getama. Its construction features solid oak with a warm, honey-brown tone and a matte finish that brings out the natural grain and precise joinery details. The robust frame, with gently splayed legs and broad, angular armrests, epitomizes the mid-century modern silhouette. The seat and backrest are fitted with thick cushions upholstered in high-quality beige boucle fabric, which offers a distinct, tactile texture and softness to the touch. The upholstery is newly applied and pristine, while the seat’s ergonomic profile and generous proportions ensure comfort in daily use. All components — from visible wood joints to the original proportions — are preserved in authentic style. The sofa has undergone full restoration:
