ABOUT PRODUCTID 31807
The three-seater 'Kaminstolen' sofa was designed by Frederik Kayser and Adolf Relling in the 1950s and produced by the Norwegian manufacturer Arnestad Bruk. Its construction features a solid teak wood frame finished with a satin-matte lacquer that highlights the natural, medium-brown wood grain. The design is defined by gently tapered legs and softly curved armrests, reflecting the organic proportions and understated elegance characteristic of Scandinavian mid-century modernism. The seat and back cushions have been newly upholstered in a uniform, powdery beige-pink wool fabric made from recycled fibers. The upholstery is precisely tailored, with no visible seams, tufting, or decorative elements, and the cushions are generously padded for lasting comfort. The sofa presents balanced proportions, a low profile, and a slightly reclined back, lending it a welcoming and relaxed presence. The piece is in excellent condition—professionally restored by an experienced craftsman, with no visible signs of wear or structural intervention; all elements remain authentic to the original specification.
