ABOUT PRODUCTID 34892
This unique spice grinder from the Chodzież manufactory is a distinctive piece of Polish applied arts from the interwar period, crafted in the Art Deco style. The body is made of white glazed ceramic with a cool undertone, adorned with a deep cobalt geometric and botanical motif characteristic of the era. The surface is smooth and glossy, while the decoration enlivens the compact, slightly tapered silhouette. Solid brass elements—the grinding mechanism, crank, and the small drawer at the base—feature a matte gold finish that subtly contrasts with the ceramic. The crank handle, also in white ceramic, echoes the central material theme. The square base and gently flared top emphasize the geometric harmony of the design. Visible brass fastenings and a precisely fitted drawer complete the composition. The grinder is signed on the underside with the original Chodzież mark. Very good condition—no visible chips or cracks in the ceramic, brass elements with an even patina, and fully functional. This object carries the voice of
