This substantial, freestanding coat rack from the 1960s/70s is a hallmark of mid-century modern design, where geometric rigor meets everyday utility. The frame is crafted from aluminum with a brass-plated finish, resulting in a warm, satin gold tone and understated sheen. Its robust base consists of heavy cast iron, topped with smooth white marble and encircled by a matte gray ring—a detail that provides both visual contrast and stability. The upper section is rotatable and features two tiers of hooks: six elongated, angular ones for coats or hats and six smaller ones for accessories. Two hexagonal umbrella holders, also finished in gold, are positioned at mid-height. The construction displays a balanced layout, precise joints, and clean lines typical of the period. The surface remains mostly smooth, with minor scratches and traces of use, especially on the base, but no significant damage. All components are original, with no signs of restoration.
