ABOUT PRODUCTID 34109
This square stool from the 1960s/70s embodies the essence of Polish mid-century modernism, where function and simplicity dictated the design. Its construction features four slender, outwardly splayed wooden legs in a warm, honey-brown tone with a satin finish. The seat is upholstered in an olive green, textured synthetic fabric with a matte surface. The minimalist silhouette, geometric proportions, and absence of visible metal fittings underline its modernist spirit. The seat is hinged and can be opened, allowing the stool to serve as an auxiliary step. The piece bears traces of decades past: the upholstery is slightly undulating due to compressed foam, the legs show minor scratches and worn lacquer, and one leg has been reglued following a previous repair. Overall, the stool remains in good condition, retaining the authentic vintage character typical of mid-20th-century Polish interiors.
