This antique French studio easel, dating from 1890–1920, exemplifies robust craftsmanship from the turn of the 20th century. Its structure is built from solid wooden elements in a warm medium honey-brown tone, finished with a matte, subtly satin sheen that highlights the natural grain and gentle patina. The form rests on four sturdy casters with brakes, reinforced by crossbars for stability. The easel features two integrated drawers with round wooden knobs, while height adjustment is managed by a hand-crank and rail mechanism. The angle is also adjustable, allowing for both display and practical use. All metal fittings, including screws and hardware, are original, and the absence of paint or varnish traces suggests it was primarily used for exhibition purposes. The wood bears signs of age—minor scuffs and gentle abrasions—but is free from significant damage, prior repairs, or evidence of insect activity. Condition: good
