This rectangular Art Nouveau sugar box was created around 1900 in the Czech region by the renowned Sandrik manufactory. Crafted from silver-plated brass, it features a cool, silvery matte finish. The hinged lid, with its prominent arched handle, is adorned with raised, stylized forget-me-not floral motifs set in geometric corner panels. The body displays vertical relief lines ending in small circular accents, epitomizing the Secessionist aesthetic. Four wide, gently splayed legs with softly curved edges provide stability and a balanced silhouette. Dimensions: height 10.5 cm, width 9.5 cm, length 14 cm. The Sandrik signature is visible on the underside. The overall condition is very good; the surface bears a consistent patina without abrasions, showing only subtle, age-appropriate traces of use.This sugar box conjures the atmosphere of the early twentieth century—a period when Art Nouveau defined a new decorative language.
