This dining table, designed by Arne Vodder for Sibast in the 1960s, exemplifies the essence of Danish mid-century modernism. The top and structure are clad in teak veneer, featuring a pronounced, natural grain in a warm medium-brown tone. The finish is understated, ranging from matte to satin, enhancing the organic texture of the wood without excessive gloss. The solid teak legs are slender, gently tapered, and subtly splayed outward, lending the table a visually light and refined profile. Distinctive cross-bracing between the legs ensures stability and introduces a characteristic structural detail, highlighting thoughtful proportions and functional intent. The rectangular top, with its softly rounded edges, balances simplicity with elegance. The table can be extended with two additional leaves, reaching a total length of 300 cm when fully open.
