This monumental cast iron pedestal base, crafted in Germany in the early 20th century, exemplifies the utilitarian artistry of the Art Nouveau and historicist periods. Made entirely from solid cast iron, it is distinguished by its deep, aged black patina, with areas of exposed metal revealing warm bronze and silvery undertones. The design stands on three lion's paw feet adorned with acanthus leaf motifs, providing both sculptural substance and structural stability. The central turned column is richly embellished with floral reliefs, culminating in a broad, shallow top (33 cm diameter) intended for a stone or glass tabletop. The overall height is 71 cm and the weight is 26 kg. The surface displays characteristic signs of age: worn paint, minor oxidation, and a rough, uneven texture, yet there are no structural damages or visible repairs.
