This large industrial table from the early 20th century, inspired by Danish design, combines a substantial solid wood top with a minimalist chrome-plated base. The tabletop is crafted from wide planks, showcasing expressive natural grain, visible knots, and nuanced color transitions ranging from light to deep brown. The matte finish accentuates the wood's organic texture, while the straight, sharply defined edges lend a geometric clarity to the piece. The base is formed from two rectangular frames of polished, chrome-plated metal with a glossy surface, providing a cool, reflective counterpoint to the wood's warmth. Visible joints where wood and metal meet, harmonious proportions, and the raw character of the construction reflect both modernist and industrial traditions of Danish design.
