The 'Bicycle' table cabaret set is an Austrian creation from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, blending utility with decorative appeal. Its base, formed as a stylised bicycle, is crafted from bleached, silver-toned metal with a cool, subtle gloss. The eye is drawn to the large spoked wheels, the curved handlebar, and a slender carrying grip atop the frame. A practical bell is integrated into the metal body, serving both as a functional and ornamental element. The set includes two cut crystal decanters with matching faceted stoppers and a crystal bowl—all in colourless, transparent glass with crisp geometric cuts that catch and refract the light. The proportions are balanced, and the craftsmanship is evident in the precise metalwork and sharp glass faceting. Condition is very good: the glassware is free of chips or cracks, with only minor surface wear on the metal, consistent with its age.This object echoes the spirit of the belle époque, when refinement and everyday ritual merged at the dinner table.
