This table candlestick, produced by the Fraget manufactory in Warsaw during the second half of the 19th century, exemplifies the artistry of historic Polish craftsmanship. The piece stands out for its solid, sculptural form and rich, ornamental decoration consistent with late neo-classical style and the era’s fascination with floral motifs. The construction features brass expertly silver-plated, with repoussé detailing and turned segments that combine into a harmonious composition. Embossed floral rosettes and stylized petals are repeated across the shaft and square, gently rounded base. Joints are finely soldered and nearly invisible, while the hand-finished elements display minor irregularities that attest to their artisanal origin. Areas of natural wear reveal warm golden brass beneath the softened silver, lending an authentic aged patina to the surface.
