ABOUT PRODUCTID 16101
This large French table clock from the late 19th century exemplifies the sculptural spirit of Art Nouveau. Crafted in plaster and finished in a warm, matte bronze-brown tone, the piece convincingly imitates the patinated metal casts typical of the era. The focal point is the pair of dynamically modeled female figures in high relief, their flowing, gestural drapery gracefully framing the central clock face. The plaster surface is mostly smooth, with finely rendered details in the hair and fabric folds, while the overall composition is dominated by its pronounced vertical orientation. The round clock face features a classic antique dial set within a decorative bezel. Original mold lines on the back confirm its authenticity. There are no visible cracks or losses, and the finish has remained cohesive, with only subtle patina appropriate to its age. The clock mechanism has been checked by a watchmaker. It is preserved in excellent condition, showing only minimal traces of use. The sculptural silhouette
