The L 50 'mushroom' table lamp is a 1950s design produced by the ZUKOV manufactory in Czechoslovakia. Its construction is based on three metal discs forming a stepped, sculptural shade: the top disc is a cool, matte grey, while the two below are a creamy off-white with visible patina and numerous scratches. The stem and round base are made of matte black metal, complemented by a yellow plastic rotary switch and the original beige power cord. The lamp’s geometric, balanced design is accentuated by visible screws atop the shade and a straightforward, utilitarian assembly. The L 50 model blends Art Deco influences with early modernist functionality, maintaining proportions typical of its era. The lamp stands approximately 36 cm tall, with a base diameter of 14 cm. Condition: good – fully functional, with numerous scratches, discolorations, and evident signs of use; the switch occasionally sticks.
