This table lamp from Virtpol Electrical Works in Białystok (1950s) is a representative example of Polish industrial design, where functionality is paired with sculptural, decorative form. The lamp consists of two main glass elements: a wide, flattened saucer-shaped shade made of glossy, opaque white glass and a conical, substantial base in a warm honey-amber hue with a high-gloss finish. The base features vertical, semi-translucent stripes alternating with more opaque sections, creating an interplay of light and depth. A cylindrical metal connector, complete with exposed screws and rods, adds an industrial accent, while the original cream-colored cord, flat plug, and inline switch remain integral to the piece. The lamp’s proportions are harmonious: the broad shade visually balances the sturdy base. Offering the period’s functional approach, the E14 socket allows light to diffuse through both the shade and the lower part of the base. The condition is described as very good – there are no visible
