ABOUT PRODUCTID 38349
The Daum Nancy table lamp is an example of French Art Nouveau from the late 19th century, produced circa 1890 by the renowned Daum Nancy manufactory. The base is crafted from cameo glass using a multi-layered technique with acid-etched floral reliefs. Dominated by a translucent pink hue with a milky white undertone and a subtle yellow band near the bottom edge, the matte botanical motifs stand out against a slightly glossy background. The lamp’s silhouette is slender and organic, featuring a wide, flared base and a gently tapering stem that exemplify the flowing lines of Art Nouveau. The classic conical lampshade, made of light beige or cream matte fabric, offers a neutral backdrop to the ornate base. A brass socket and twisted yellow fabric cord complete the composition, maintaining period authenticity. The lamp is preserved in very good condition, with no visible chips, cracks, or significant signs of wear. This lamp encapsulates the spirit of the turn of the century: its organic glass lines and floral reliefs evoke the story of Art Nouveau, where nature inspired every facet of applied art. The matte plant motifs call to mind tranquil gardens and the softness
