The collectible table lamp “Dandelions” is a noteworthy example of Polish modernist design from the 1950s and 1960s, attributed to Ludmiła Pokora, a designer associated with the Wawel porcelain manufactory. The lamp’s body is crafted from porcelain finished in a matte black, hand-decorated with a dynamic white dandelion motif applied using a spray technique. The classic urn-shaped base—with its pronounced shoulder and gently flared foot—reflects the proportions typical of postwar modernism. The composition is completed by a conical lampshade in light grey fabric with a fine, subtle texture, and a brass-colored metal detail crowning the top. The palette is strictly monochromatic: black, white, grey, and a golden metallic accent. The lamp is fitted with new electrical components, including an E27 socket and an inline switch. It is preserved in very good condition, with no visible damage, chips, or cracks. The form of the “Dandelions” lamp tells the story of Polish modernism—a period when craft and artistic expression found their place in everyday objects. The porcelain body, adorned with a graphic motif, evokes the atmosphere of the 1950s: an era when simplicity and decorative surface treatments coexisted, and handmade techniques gave each piece a unique character. The matte black surface and delicate white dandelions diffuse light softly, as if capturing the fleeting mood of a summer afternoon. The lamp recalls a time when function and the pursuit of beauty
