The Flygsfors glass table lamp, designed and produced in Sweden in the 1960s, is a prime example of mid-century Scandinavian glass design. The entire piece is crafted in vivid, lime green glass with a high-gloss finish that reflects both light and its surroundings, emphasizing its sculptural presence. The rounded shade transitions seamlessly into a tiered, decorative base with pronounced horizontal ridges, giving the lamp fluidity and dynamic form. The glass is evenly colored, free of patterns or tonal transitions, with a perfectly smooth surface showing no visible scratches or damage. A discreet white power cord emerges from the base as the only visible technical element. The lamp is preserved in very good vintage condition—there are no signs of wear, and the electrical installation has been newly replaced. This lamp captures the spirit of the 1960s, when Scandinavian applied arts embraced bold colors and organic silhouettes. The striking green glass speaks of the optimism and audacity of the era, while the sleek, glossy surface catches light like the surface of a northern lake—sometimes reflecting the room, sometimes drawing the eye to its own form. The lamp seems to softly narrate a time when expressive color and sculptural lines gave everyday objects a modern identity, with each detail promising a sense of newness. This piece can be displayed atop a natural wood sideboard, a bedside table, or a console, where its vibrant color and rounded form create a bold focal point. It pairs well with ceramics and accessories in warm tones, as well as with other mid-century objects. In contemporary, minimalist spaces, it is best allowed to stand alone as a statement, sculptural accent.Height: 28 cm, diameter: 15 cm. Entirely glass construction. Lamp in very good condition—no visible damage or discoloration.
