This table lamp by Luigi Colani, designed for Sische in the 1980s, presents a bold study in postmodern form with a touch of space-age influence. Its construction is anchored by a solid, circular base and cylindrical stem crafted from polished brass with a deep, golden sheen. The distinctive shade consists of six smoked glass panels in a soft brown-grey hue, arranged geometrically and secured by visible brass screws. Each glass panel features a finely etched decorative tree motif, lending a delicate contrast to the assertive metal frame. Three vertical brass rods crown the lamp, introducing a sculptural element characteristic of the decade. The set includes two decorative gold bulbs and spare glass panes, while the designer's signature confirms authenticity. The lamp is preserved in very good condition – natural oxidation and minor surface scratches are visible on the brass, as is typical for original vintage pieces from the 1980s. This lamp carries the voice of an era when the future seemed within reach and design was both a statement and a sculptural presence in everyday life.
