ABOUT PRODUCTID 6673
The WMF Ikora table lamp from the 1930s exemplifies the European Art Deco movement’s fusion of technical innovation and bold color experimentation. The base is hand-blown glass, crafted using the Ikora technique—colored with metal oxides, featuring embedded air bubbles and a marbled, crackled surface. Its palette is a vibrant gradient of red, orange, amber, and brown, with a high-gloss, almost mirror-like finish. A chromed collar at the top of the base adds a modernist accent, while the WMF signature confirms its provenance from a renowned German manufacturer. The lampshade, made of deep navy velvet with a matte, soft texture, contrasts with the glossy glass. Its classic, gently flared shape harmonizes with the rounded base. The lamp is fitted with two sockets (E14 in the base, E27 in the upper holder) and retains its original inline switch. It is preserved in very good condition, with no visible damage or restoration marks. This lamp evokes the spirit of the 1930s,
