ABOUT PRODUCTID 32443
This large French ceramic table lamp from the 1970s, produced by Kostka, features a striking, sculptural base measuring 75 cm in height and up to 30 cm in diameter. The base is crafted from high-gloss sky blue ceramic, with a dynamic spiral relief that catches and reflects the light, creating a sense of movement and depth. Its silhouette, reminiscent of an urn with a wide, flared collar beneath the brass lamp holder, lends the piece an architectural presence. The shade, gently tapered in a classic form, is made from matte white cotton fabric (45 cm in diameter, 30 cm high), offering a refined contrast to the vivid, glossy base. The lamp is fitted with an E27 bulb socket and a cable-mounted switch. All elements are original and preserved in very good condition, with no visible damage or signs of restoration. The price refers to one piece only. The lamp embodies the spirit of 1970s French modernism, where playful geometry and bold color turned everyday objects into small-scale works of art. The cool blue glaze, animated by its spiral motif, seems to narrate the optimism of an era that celebrated both form and function.
