The Model 832 Mushroom table lamp, designed by Ludovico Diaz De Santillana for Venini in the 1960s, embodies the Italian approach to formal experimentation and refined craftsmanship of the Space Age era. The hand-blown glass shade features a distinctive crackled pattern in tones of ivory, light beige, and subtle browns; the semi-matte surface softly reflects light and accentuates its organic texture. A stable base of light beige marble with delicate, natural veining harmonizes with the shade, while the slender stem and arms are made of dark, satin-patinated brass. Two light sources hidden beneath the wide dome provide even, diffused illumination. Visible metal fasteners at the edge of the shade and a discreet black power cord complete the composition. All elements are original and authentic.
