The 'Moon' table lamp, designed by Samuel Parker for the Italian brand Slamp in the 1990s, is a striking example of Space Age design interpreted through a minimalist lens. Its construction is based on a matte black, triangular plastic base with a subtly textured surface, rising vertically to intersect a perfectly round, smooth white plastic lampshade. Standing 65 cm tall, the lamp is accented by visible metallic screws along the vertical edges, adding a discreet industrial touch. The color palette is strictly limited to deep black and crisp white, emphasizing the lamp’s graphic, futuristic character. The proportions are carefully balanced – the circular shade visually counterpoints the angular base, creating an architectural, sculptural presence.
