This 1970s table lamp, produced by the Italian manufacturer Mazzega, exemplifies mid-century modern and space-age design. The structure is based on massive, opaline white Murano glass forming a spherical upper section and a bowl-shaped lower base, separated by a chromed metal band that acts as both decorative accent and structural connector. Chrome also appears on the lower part of the base, introducing a cool, metallic counterpoint to the soft white glass. The lamp stands on a rounded pedestal, and is finished with a high-gloss surface and subtle milky translucency. Its proportions are balanced, with clean, geometric lines—hallmarks of 1970s Italian craftsmanship. The lamp is equipped with a standard E14 socket. Condition: very good vintage, with minor patina and small surface marks on the chrome, no cracks or chips to the glass.
