The New Look table lamp, designed by Wiesława Gołajewska in 1963, is a distinct example of Polish modernism from the 1960s. Its tripod base is crafted from porcellite and finished in a cool, light grey glaze. The base’s surface is boldly textured, reminiscent of tree bark, with subtle glossy highlights in the recesses, creating an engaging play of light. The lamp is topped with a simple, conical shade made of smooth, matte white fabric. The minimalist silhouette and balanced proportions reflect the era’s focus on materiality and function. The lamp works well in a bright living room with accents of natural materials like wood or linen. It is worth combining
