ABOUT PRODUCTID 30871
The Onfale Grande table lamp, designed by Luciano Vistosi for Artemide in the late 1970s, stands as a distinctive example of Italian modernist lighting. Its construction is rooted in the classic mushroom motif: a large, hemispherical dome seamlessly flows into a cylindrical base, both crafted from hand-blown opaline glass with a perfectly smooth, high-gloss finish. The lamp’s color is a pure, cool white, accented only by a subtle transparent rim at the edge of the shade. The geometry is balanced and sculptural, with no visible seams or fittings, and the original Murano glassmaker’s sticker underscores the lamp’s authenticity. Onfale Grande features two independent light sources, allowing separate illumination of both the dome and the base. The overall height is 44 cm. The lamp is preserved in excellent condition, with no scratches, chips, or visible signs of wear.Onfale Grande evokes the voice of late 1970s Italian modernism: its opaline glass captures an era when Venetian craftsmanship merged with a vision for pure, unembellished form. The smooth surface reflects light softly, creating an impression of tranquility and weightlessness—less an everyday object, more a time capsule. The seamless white glass and harmonious proportions speak
