ABOUT PRODUCTID 27305
This Maison Jansen table lamp from the 1970s is a striking manifestation of Hollywood Regency design, combining the palm motif with artisanal detailing. The structure features meticulously torch-cut brass leaves in a warm, golden hue with a lustrous, mirror-polished finish. The trunk displays a richly textured surface, closely mimicking the natural rhythm and pattern of a palm tree. The base is composed of two distinct materials: a lower segment of glossy black lacquered wood and an upper section of light beige travertine stone, creating a sophisticated contrast in both color and texture. Harmoniously proportioned, the lamp presents a wide, spreading canopy of leaves (60 cm diameter) and a sturdy, geometric base (overall height 73 cm), forming a cohesive decorative silhouette. The light source is centrally placed at the top of the structure. The lamp is preserved in very good vintage condition, with a gentle patina and subtle surface marks consistent with age and careful use. This lamp echoes the voice of the 1970s—a time when designers drew on visions of tropical gardens and cinematic interiors. The brass leaves fan out, catching and reflecting light like morning dew on an exotic plant. The hand-worked details are tangible: visible solder seams and textured surfaces reveal the artisan's touch on every leaf. The trunk, with its pronounced relief, seems to tell a story
