ABOUT PRODUCTID 1778
This bedside lamp by Stilnovo, produced in Italy in the 1950s, exemplifies mid-century modern design with its pastel salmon-pink lacquered steel body and base, accented by a cream ring at the edge and a matte white frosted glass shade. The polished brass arm, elegantly curved in true 1950s style, connects via a visible joint that allows the shade to be freely adjusted for directional light. The switch is a rectangular cream button integrated into the base. The lamp is compact and balanced in its proportions—18 cm high, 16 cm long, and 13.5 cm wide—displaying thoughtful construction and attention to detail. All components—lacquered steel, brass, and glass—retain their original character; the electric cord is light beige and the plug has been replaced. The lamp is in very good condition, with no visible damage or restoration. This piece carries the voice of 1950s Italy: pastel surfaces and brass gleam evoke the optimism of postwar Milan, when light became an ally of everyday life.
