The PH 4/3 table lamp, designed by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen in Denmark during the 1960s, stands as an exemplar of Scandinavian modernism focused on function and clarity of form. The construction features three metal shades in a matte, warm white finish, with the largest shade subtly flared and curved to ensure soft, even light diffusion. The slender stem is crafted from polished chrome, as is the mirror-finish round base, which reflects its surroundings. A rectangular black switch on the base adds a functional accent. Visible screws on the upper shade highlight the lamp’s precise, minimalist construction. The proportions—broad shade paired with a light, vertical silhouette—are characteristic of Danish mid-century design. All elements are original.
