ABOUT PRODUCTID 6678
This Val St Lambert table lamp, produced in Belgium in the 1960s, is a distinguished example of mid-century modern design. The base, hand-formed from solid, colored glass, displays a vivid raspberry-pink gradient that softly transitions into clear glass at the bottom. The highly polished surface reveals both the depth and luminosity of the material, while the organic, sculptural lines emphasize the lamp’s flowing silhouette. A small chrome ring at the neck connects the glass base to the wide, conical lampshade crafted from matte white fabric. The proportions — a slender, tall base (38 cm) and a broad shade (25 cm diameter, 15 cm height) — create an architectural sense of balance. The lamp is fitted with an E27 socket and a discreet black power cord. The condition is very good: no damage to the glass or shade, and the lamp is fully functional. This lamp echoes the spirit of the 1960s: a time of bold color choices, when glass became not just a utilitarian material but a sculptural medium for light and hue. The organic form hints at movement and fluidity, with the raspberry-pink tone acting as an optimistic accent designed to enliven interiors. The matte shade softens the intensity of the glass, diffusing light into a gentle, atmospheric glow — as if the lamp itself recalls that design can be both joyful and sophisticated. The lamp could be displayed
