ABOUT PRODUCTID 41664
The PS 2017 table lamp or wall sconce, designed by O. Wihlborg for IKEA's limited PS collection, is constructed entirely from metal and finished in a uniform, cool matte white. Its sculptural, dynamic silhouette is defined by a slightly conical, wide shade set at an angle on a geometric base—both elements rendered in the same monochromatic palette. The internal diffuser, also white, distributes light evenly and softly. Three visible metal screws securing the diffuser introduce a subtle industrial accent to the minimalist form. The lamp's construction features clean lines and precise joints, with no patterns or accent colors—emphasizing its monochrome, contemporary character. The design offers dual functionality: it can serve as a table lamp or a wall sconce. The condition is very good, with only minor, barely noticeable traces of use typical for a second-hand item, and no significant signs of wear or damage. This lamp embodies the spirit of contemporary Scandinavian minimalism. Its form narrates the story of 21st-century simplicity, where every detail matters and the absence of superfluous decoration transforms an everyday object into a small sculpture of light. The dominant white appears cool and serene—like a misty morning landscape—while the matte surface subtly absorbs and disperses illumination. The lamp speaks the language of modernity—distinct yet understated, ready to accompany new chapters in daily life. The PS 2017 model can be used in living rooms, bedrooms, or workspaces. It pairs well with Scandinavian, minimalist, or modernist interiors, and can also complement loft-style arrangements. It may be combined with natural
